•Required: Associates and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
•Preferred: 5 years of previous Surgical Services experience, as well as management experience in an acute care setting.
•Must hold a current RN License in the state of Iowa at the time of hire, and possess current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Hours and Compensation:
•This is a full-time position.
•Compensation ranges from $95,000 to $135,000.
•The facility offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a relocation/sign-on bonus.
•The Director of Surgical Services, a registered professional nurse, will assume 24-hour accountability and responsibility for overall operations.
•This role involves selecting staff, implementing the service structure, and maintaining a patient-centered culture within the hospital.
•The Director will manage multiple aspects of the patient care environment, ensuring clinical standards are met, and ensuring appropriate staffing resources for quality patient care.
•Actively participating in and chairing committees, work groups, and meetings as needed.
•Providing organizational leadership to develop, implement, and maintain services in alignment with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan.
•Developing annual budgets for surgical services, including revenue, personnel, operations, and capital expenses, with valid rationale and recommendations for the budget requests.
•The facility has over 200 beds, and the position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
