This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. After 90 days of employment, the candidate will be able to work 3 days remotely and 2 days on-site.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Minimum: High School diploma
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Preferred: Microsoft, VMware, Cisco networking, EMC storage, or equivalent industry certifications.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum: 3+ years of experience in information technology or a related field.
Preferred: 5+ years of experience in information technology or a related field. Prior experience managing complex IT infrastructure in a highly available, 24x7x365 environment. Healthcare experience.
SUMMARY
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for designing, planning, implementing, performance tuning, and recovery procedures for mission-critical enterprise systems. The specialist maintains and ensures the security, availability, and performance of computers, servers, storage, and applications in a multi-site Windows environment. The candidate must have a passion for technology and be able to meet end-user and business needs effectively. They will serve as a technical expert in the area of system administration for Microsoft Servers, VMware, Horizon, Microsoft 365, Cloud services, etc. The position will also involve recommending the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications. The specialist will perform a wide range of complex computer systems administration duties, including:
- Providing technical support for workstation, server, and network hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
- Upgrading existing hardware and software
- Correcting reported hardware and/or software problems
- Performing a variety of technical tasks relevant to the assigned area of responsibility

- Application Delivery – VMWare Horizon, Zero clients, SSO
- Network – Cisco LAN/WAN/Wireless
- 24 x 7 on-call availability
