Our client is currently hiring for the position of Pump and Tank Cost Estimator in Farmingdale, NY. They are in need of a highly experienced and skilled individual to take on this role in a hybrid working environment. We are seeking a professional who can lead and manage an estimating team within the environmental and construction sectors, with a specific focus on projects related to fuel facilities.
Location: Farmingdale, NY - Candidates must be able to commute to the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the estimating team, ensuring that their performance aligns with company objectives and standards.
- Inspire, train, and oversee the team to produce accurate and timely estimates for construction and service projects.
- Directly prepare estimates for select construction and service projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of experience in estimating within the construction, environmental, or related industries.
- Experience in the pump & tank industry is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
- Proficient in generating estimates for projects valued between $25,000 and $5,000,000.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with cost estimating software is preferred.
- Competence in reading and interpreting plans and project documents.
