Position Description: Remote Tax Supervisor

Position Title: Remote Tax Supervisor Location: Overland Park, KS

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and review tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of small to large-sized clients.

• Prepare and review tax provisions, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and SSAP 101.

• Assist with and review complex consolidated tax returns, including those involving combined/unitary states.

• Lead tax research and consulting projects, providing expertise and assistance in preparing tax opinion letters.

• Mentor and guide tax staff, providing effective and timely feedback.

• Participate actively in business development events to build client relationships and enhance the firm's presence.

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

• Be a licensed CPA or CPA eligible.

• Have 3-5 years of recent public accounting experience in the field of tax.

• Demonstrate proficiency in corporate tax return preparation and tax issues, with a sound knowledge of consolidated return issues (federal and state).

• Preferred experience in insurance tax.

• Possess strong problem-solving and client-relationship management skills.

• Show willingness to collaborate with and learn from team members.

• Exhibit the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.

• Have excellent communication skills, including clear and concise writing and verbal abilities.
