We are collaborating with a Global Tier 1 Supplier in the Automotive Industry to conduct a search for a Technical Sales Account Manager.

Remote Technical Sales Account Manager Position (Job Description)


  • Location: Ability to work remotely and travel at least 20%.
    • Preferred candidates should be located in the metro Detroit area or the Midwest region.
  • Competitive base salary.
  • Bonus eligibility: 10%.
  • Key Requirements:
    • Seeking a highly experienced Technical Account Manager with strong technical knowledge.
    • Technical background to effectively communicate with internal and external engineering teams (not necessarily an expert, but comfortable with technical conversations).
    • Experience in the automotive industry with a focus on product-based selling (not commodity) preferred, ideally from a Tier 1 supplier.
    • 5-15 years of experience in automotive sales, specifically selling to OEMs.
    • Professional and effective communication skills to represent the brand, create marketing materials, and establish strong customer relationships.
    • A true salesperson with the drive and experience to sell engineered products to automotive OEMs.
    • Experience in a growing market is preferred.
    • Strong lead generation skills or existing leads and connections in the industry.
    • Key customers include General Motors, Stellantis, Daimler, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Plastic Omnium, Detroit Diesel, and Harley Davidson.
