First Shift TIG Welder
Position: First Shift TIG Welder
Shift: 1 Hours: 7AM-4:00PM
Type: Full-Time | Mode: Direct Placement
Pay Scale: $25-30hr | Industry: Manufacturing
Seeking a skilled individual to fabricate products by preparing, executing, and completing GTAW (TIG) and GMAW-P (MIG Pulse) welds in accordance with blueprints and specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Utilize TIG or MIG Pulse processes to weld stainless steel components (304 & 316).

Interpret and implement drawings, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and tolerance requirements.

Perform welding in various positions including flat, vertical, and overhead.

Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, shrinking, or distortion.

Operate hand and power tools such as angle grinders, TIG welders, and MIG welders.

Select appropriate filler rods based on base metal specifications.

Prepare workpieces by grinding or cutting edges for proper fit.

Identify equipment malfunctions or defective materials for resolution.

Adhere to safety procedures and OSHA standards consistently.

Adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferably hold welding certifications.

At least 3 years of GTAW & GMAW-P welding experience with blueprint reading abilities.

Experience with modular fixturing is advantageous.

Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.

Demonstrates effective work with minimal supervision.

Quick learner with a motivation to enhance skills.

Strong focus on detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Mandatory use of required PPE (safety shoes, glasses, gloves, etc.).
Physical Requirements
-
Frequent sitting, standing, twisting, bending, and repetitive hand/wrist movements.

Occasional walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and overhead reaching.

Regularly lift and carry up to 10 lbs; frequently up to 50 lbs; occasionally over 50 lbs.

Occasional pushing/pulling of various weights.

Continuous simple grasping, fine manipulation, and tool use; occasional gross grasping.
