Total Rewards Manager

Position Summary:

The Total Rewards Manager is responsible for leading the HR Department in aligning business objectives with competitive company benefits, compensation, and rewards. This position will maintain relationships with all departments to provide excellent service in handling worker's compensation claims and related matters. The Total Rewards Manager will develop, maintain, and enhance the employee Benefits Administration, Government, and Compliance online modules. They will consistently develop effective compensation, benefits, and rewards programs for employees in accordance with company policies, procedures, and culture.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage, assess, and benchmark competitive benefits, compensation, and rewards programs to attract and retain employees and achieve organizational goals
  • Manage enrollment, renewal, and delivery of benefits programs including medical, pharmacy, vision, dental, disability, life insurance, employee assistance programs, and retirement
  • Plan and execute the implementation and administration of benefit plans, including annual open enrollment
  • Optimize wellness programming for health plan results, productivity, and employee quality of life
  • Analyze compensation areas to recommend engagement and retention strategies
  • Support compensation review cycle, including merit letters and salary increases
  • Assist in the development and delivery of Total Rewards Statements
  • Ensure company practices comply with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Review and analyze worker's compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work efforts
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing

HRIS Scope - Benefits Administration (BEN)/Benefit to Carrier Feeds/ACA and Government and Compliance/Total Rewards Statement

  • Co-build and customize Benefits Administration and Government and Compliance modules
  • Utilize BEN module to provide 24/7 access to benefit plan information, enrollment, and deduction testing
  • Utilize BEN module for reconciliation and deductions in annual enrollment
  • Ensure COBRA compliance through automatic checklist and correspondence
  • Manage ACA data and automatic filing of IRS forms
  • Review modules for tracking FMLA, ACA, and OSHA forms
  • Assist with ESOP functionality if requested

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Related BS degree required; advanced degree and/or certification preferred
  • 8 plus years of experience in HR or People Operations, designing and executing compensation and benefits programs
  • Measure program metrics, benchmark company programs, and monitor external trends
  • Manage merit increase process and assist with variable pay and incentive programs
  • Ability to handle sensitive material and processes with professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS

Knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and emerging regulatory issues required.
