Learning and Development Coordinator

Location: Hartford, CT

Our client is a manufacturer worth $1 billion, with multiple locations across the United States. They are currently in need of a Training Specialist.

Position:

The company already has established curricula for various programs, including entry-level, service, engineering, and leadership development. The Training Specialist will be responsible for refining and formalizing these programs for each department. Some content may be outsourced or provided by the different departments themselves, while some will be delivered personally. The Training Specialist will also act as the coordinator for all training programs, with occasional travel to other sites. Excellent communication and coordination skills are a must, as the role requires interaction with management, executives, and vendors.

Requirements

- Excellent communication and coordination skills

- Bachelor's degree

- Ability to travel 10% of the time

- 1-2 years of professional training experience (content creation, needs analysis, and training delivery)

- Solid understanding of adult-learning principles

- Familiarity with current training modalities (virtual, e-learning, AI)

- Strong business writing skills

- Strong presentation and facilitation skills

- High energy and enjoys working and interacting with people

- Highly collaborative with a strong customer-service orientation

- Detail-oriented and comfortable with administrative duties

- Strong listening skills
