VP Defense Manufacturing Training
Position: Vice President - Defense Manufacturing Training Program
Location: Reidsville, NC
We are seeking a Vice President for our Defense Manufacturing Training Program at a medium-sized business in Reidsville, NC. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic oversight and management for our critical and tactical training program in the defense manufacturing industry.
The successful candidate will ensure the effective training, support, and placement of students within companies involved in research, design, production, delivery, and maintenance of military weapons systems, subsystems, and components.
We are looking for a candidate with significant leadership experience, budget management skills, and entrepreneurial mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide visionary leadership
- Develop and implement strategies for program growth
- Create sustainability and continuous improvement for the program
- Lead and mentor the department’s leadership team
- Be fully engaged with industry and community partners
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders
- Manage project milestones and deliverables
- Guide the development and execution of recruitment, training, and job placement strategies
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data to align with industry goals and program objectives
- Provide regular updates to company executives
- Maintain compliance with all program requirements, contracts, and regulatory standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Workforce Development, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in workforce development or education management
- At least 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships
- Proven track record of leading large-scale training or workforce development programs
- Defense sector experience
- Technical experience in manufacturing, a plus
- High-level presentation experience to senior-level audiences
Additional REQUIREMENTS
- No remote work - typical week is 4 days on site
- Due to contracts with the United States Government, candidates must be either US Citizens or US Permanent Residents
