Qualifications:

The CFO position entails overseeing the financial operations of the company in accordance with established accounting principles and financial management techniques. The role requires familiarity with the policies and standards of the Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the organization's fiscal function, including planning, development, and evaluation of financial performance.
  • Supervise monthly financial reporting, sales and margin reporting, and balance scorecard updates, providing necessary explanations for variances.
  • Prepare quarterly IFRS reports for the parent company based in Germany.
  • Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze financial aspects of the business and provide recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the Production Team to contribute to divisional planning.
  • Evaluate the impact of long-range planning, new programs/strategies, and regulatory actions.
  • Provide accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends to support decision-making by the President, the Board, and senior executives of the parent company.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Support Sales and Operations with data-driven decision making.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce effective organizational policies and procedures.
  • Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as a problem-solver.
  • Offer strategic financial input on potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, and investments.
  • Optimize bank and deposit relationships to enhance cash position.
  • Implement a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Provide financial insights for contract negotiations.
  • Continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance division.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI.
  • Experience with ERP implementation.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Sage X3 and SAP R/3 and/or SAP S4 Hana (FI/CO).
  • Knowledge and experience in IFRS within a global/international company.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA certification.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
