Director of Business Development

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Job Description:

Seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to lead senior sales initiatives, financial planning, and strategic goal setting in Minneapolis, MN. This individual will oversee sales territories, market research, and training efforts.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the President, the Director will manage the Sales staff, drive performance metrics, control expenses and revenue, and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities also include analyzing market potential, implementing market penetration plans, monitoring competition, and optimizing the effectiveness of NLP and Market Watch programs.

The Director will develop strategies based on customer needs to enhance product and service market share, organize sales events, and cultivate strong customer relationships.

Additionally, this role will lead training and development initiatives for sales staff, collaborate on major proposals, and drive sales and marketing performance to meet financial targets.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree

10+ years in a sales leadership role in the foodservice distribution industry

Preferred Qualifications

Masters/MBA

10+ years of experience managing a complex salesforce over a large demographic area
