West Coast Sales Director - Food

Location: Reno, NV (Remote / Reside in CA, NV, AZ)

We are a manufacturer of frozen, premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are sold through distributors to restaurants, resorts and hotels, bars, cruise lines, and specialty gourmet manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with 30+ food distributors across 19 Western US states, with a focus on CA, NV, and AZ. Your main objectives include growing market share, ensuring customer satisfaction, exceeding sales and profitability goals set by the company, and managing 1 Sales Representative.

You will also be responsible for identifying revenue-generating opportunities with distributor accounts, tracking trends, formulating methods to improve service and sales, and capitalizing on new opportunities using sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other resources. Additionally, you will utilize CRM software to capture all customer engagement.

As part of your responsibilities, you will work closely with the Director of Sales to review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual region sales, as well as provide input for the annual budget of your territory. You will also review the communication strategy to ensure operational support needs are met.

Qualifications / Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have a BA/BS degree. You should also have at least 3 years of experience in food sales and selling to foodservice distributors. Proficiency in using CRM software and Excel on a daily basis is required.

In addition, you should possess the ability to prepare and utilize 30/60/90-day planning. Experience in data analysis, sales reporting, product training, and trade show planning is also desired. This role requires approximately 50% travel, with airport accessibility.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive base salary of $90-95K, along with a 20% bi-annual bonus. Benefits include 100% company paid medical, dental, vision, and Life insurance, an EAP program, 401K, profit sharing of approximately 12% annually, 11 paid holidays, vacation time, a company laptop with a docking station, a cell phone, and a company credit card. Mileage reimbursement is also provided.
