Western US Food Sales Manager

Location: Sacramento, CA

Remote / Based in CA, NV, AZ. In charge of maintaining and expanding a network of 30+ food distributors across 19 states in the Western US, primarily focusing on CA, NV, and AZ.

We are a manufacturer of frozen, high-quality, natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. Our products are distributed through a network of distributors to various establishments such as restaurants, resorts and hotels, bars, cruise lines, and specialty gourmet manufacturers.

Responsibilities:

The main responsibility is to maintain and expand a network of 30+ food distributors across 19 states in the Western US, with a focus on CA, NV, and AZ. The main goals are to increase market share, ensure customer satisfaction, exceed defined sales and profitability targets, and oversee 1 Sales Representative.

Identify opportunities for revenue generation with distributor accounts, track trends, develop methods to improve service and sales, and capitalize on new possibilities. Utilize sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other resources. Utilize CRM software to track customer engagement.

Collaborate with the Director of Sales in reviewing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual sales data for the region, as well as providing input for the annual budget. Review communication strategy to address operational support needs.

Qualifications / Requirements:

BA/BS degree required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in food sales, specifically selling to foodservice distributors.

Proficient in using CRM software and Excel on a daily basis.

Ability to develop and utilize 30/60/90-day plans.

Experience in data analysis, sales reporting, product training, and trade show planning.

Able to travel approximately 50% of the time. Must have access to an airport.

Base Salary $90-95K + 20% semi-annual bonus. Company provides 100% coverage for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Also includes an EAP program, 401K, profit sharing of approximately 12% annual, 11 paid holidays, vacation time, company laptop, docking station, cell phone, and company credit card. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
