Position: Western US Food Sales Regional Manager
Location: San Jose, CA (Remote / Reside in CA, NV, AZ)
Our company is a manufacturer of frozen, premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends. We sell our products through distributors to restaurants, resorts and hotels, bars, cruise lines, and specialty gourmet manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
As the Western US Food Sales Regional Manager, your main responsibility will be maintaining and developing relationships with 30+ food distributors across 19 states in the western US, with a particular focus on California, Nevada, and Arizona. You will be expected to grow our market share, ensure customer satisfaction, exceed sales and profitability goals, and oversee the work of a Sales Representative.
Your role will involve identifying revenue-generating opportunities with distributor accounts, tracking industry trends, improving service and sales methods, and capitalizing on new opportunities through sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other resources. You will also utilize CRM software to track and manage customer engagement.
You will collaborate with the Director of Sales to review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for the region, as well as contribute to budget planning. Additionally, you will review communication strategies to ensure operational support needs are met.
Qualifications / Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a BA/BS degree. You should also have at least 3 years of experience in food sales, specifically selling to foodservice distributors.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Excel on a daily basis is essential. Additionally, you should be skilled in preparing and utilizing 30/60/90-day planning, data analysis, sales reporting, product training, and trade show planning.
This position involves approximately 50% travel, so accessibility to airports is important.

We offer a competitive base salary of $90-95K, along with a 20% bi-annual bonus.
