Litigator
Location: Westbury, NY
We are in search of a skilled and motivated Litigator specializing in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice law to join our legal team. This position is based in our Westbury, NY office. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload from initial consultation to trial, advocating for plaintiffs in complex personal injury and medical malpractice cases. They will be responsible for all aspects of litigation while providing compassionate and efficient legal representation to our clients.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury and medical malpractice cases from start to finish.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents.
- Handle depositions and court appearances.
- Evaluate cases and develop strategies.
- Negotiate settlements and communicate with clients.
- Supervise and collaborate with legal support staff.
Main Qualifications
- JD degree and admission to the New York State Bar.
- 5+ years of experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice litigation.
- Trial experience preferred.
- Strong legal writing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail.
- Client-focused with strong interpersonal skills.
