Location: Santa Ana, CA

The Benefits Director oversees the daily operations of the benefits team and client engagement. In this role, you will ensure smooth administration of all PEO-sponsored benefit plans, drive operational excellence, and deliver exceptional client and employee experiences. Collaboration with executive leadership, client services, and cross-functional teams is key to developing innovative solutions, streamlining processes, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the benefits team
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback
  • Foster a high-performing team culture
  • Recruit and onboard top talent
  • Provide consultative guidance to clients on benefit plans
  • Respond to client and employee benefit inquiries
  • Oversee benefit plan administration and compliance
  • Manage annual open enrollment process
  • Lead ACA planning and compliance efforts
  • Enhance departmental processes for efficiency
  • Analyze client experience survey scores
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives
  • Assist with complex client conversions and high-value accounts

Work Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum seven years in benefits or equivalent experience. Three years of management experience required. Advanced knowledge of ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and more.

This position is remote within Southern California. Employee may work from home or in office, with occasional in-person meetings or client visits.
