We are in search of an experienced Electrical System Designer to provide technical leadership for industrial electrical, automation, and process-control systems in a manufacturing environment located in Mobile, AL. The main responsibilities will include designing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing plant electrical and control systems, ensuring they meet applicable standards and regulations.
Key Duties
• Designing, programming, and optimizing ControlLogix, SIMATIC S7/TIA Portal, and Mitsubishi PLC systems. • Configuring and maintaining Yokogawa Distributed Control Systems. • Maintaining SCADA interfaces and process-data collection systems. • Performing calibration oversight and logic tuning for process controls. • Overseeing power-distribution systems, substations, and infrastructure. • Managing electrical design projects from concept to completion. • Developing technical specifications and documentation using AutoCAD. • Providing troubleshooting and analysis for electrical system issues.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5–10+ years of relevant experience. • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical system design. • Proficiency in PLC, automation, instrumentation, and power-distribution systems. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and contractors. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
