Job Title: Production Supervisor ( 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift openings)
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Salary: $75-85K
Job Summary of the Production Supervisor: The Production Supervisor will be a key leader within the manufacturing team, supporting the Director of Operations and Production Manager. They will oversee production staff, ensure workflow efficiency, maintain quality standards, manage safety protocols, handle materials, and provide training as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:
· Manage production schedules, assign tasks, set priorities, solve issues, and report on production progress for each shift.
· Communicate job expectations, coach employees, enforce policies, and ensure manufacturing goals are met consistently.
· Recruit, train, and develop manufacturing team members to enhance their skills and performance.
· Monitor production processes, equipment, resources, and personnel to ensure optimal workflow and efficiency.
· Participate in direct labor activities for 50% of the time in the designated area of responsibility.
· Ensure safety standards are met, quality is maintained, and materials are available for production processes.
· Motivate and support production team members through training, coaching, and development opportunities.
· Compile and analyze production performance data, and provide information and support to team members as needed.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to regulations, and contribute to team goals as required.
Education & Experience of the Production Supervisor:
* High School diploma or GED required.
* 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
* 3+ years of Supervisory experience
* Demonstrated ability to lead and generate results through others.
* Ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety.
* Must have a valid driver’s license.
* Must have a strong customer orientation.
* Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Basic computer skills with understanding of Microsoft products.
