Salary: $75-85K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Business Development Specialist: The Business Development Specialist will contribute to the business growth in designated markets. They will collaborate with the Market Development Manager to oversee strategic sales and marketing initiatives, manage key customer relationships, and coordinate project activities. This role involves evaluating market trends, building internal partnerships, and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive market share expansion.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist:

  • Collaborate with Market Development Manager(s) to help SMOs achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Take ownership of sales support and customer satisfaction in the Container Handling and Mining/Bulk Material Handling segments.
  • Assist Market Development Manager(s) in overseeing special projects and fostering communication between various internal teams.
  • Provide valuable insights for developing and executing annual Strategic Market Development Plans.
  • Manage key market accounts in alignment with product offerings, pricing strategies, and sales channels.
  • Offer technical support to outside sales teams once proficient in product knowledge.
  • Assist in creating and adapting sales and marketing tools to support business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with teams to achieve budget objectives and enhance market knowledge among stakeholders.
  • Follow up on quotations, projects, and competitor activities to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to coordinating and participating in Tradeshows to promote market opportunities.
  • Assist in executing pricing policies and setting discount structures for key accounts.
  • Provide account management and quoting support for unique Projects and/or Products as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Business Development Specialist:

· Associate degree in engineering, sales, marketing or business and preferably (3) years of related experience, OR any similar combination of education/training and experience.

* Must be Bilingual or have Latin American Business exposure.

· Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Typing a minimum of 50 words per minute is preferred.

  • Experience in sales development, account management, project management, and market development is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to support business needs, with potential increase in travel requirements.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and contribute to initiatives aimed at driving sales growth in targeted markets.
