Cath Lab Technician or Special Procedures Tech
Job Summary:
We are in search of a talented and committed Cath Lab Technician or Special Procedures Tech to become an integral part of our dynamic medical team. This position will involve working closely with physicians to carry out both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of cardiac procedures and demonstrate proficiency in their work with minimal supervision.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians in the performance of various cardiac procedures.
- Operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment with accuracy.
- Ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout procedures.
- Precisely documenting procedure details and patient information.
- Collaborating effectively with a diverse team to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Completion of a program accredited in Radiologic Technology, Health Sciences, or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology. Candidates with RCIS certification from CCI since 2013 or earlier are exempt from formal education requirements.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must possess certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support and hold one of the following:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
- Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT-R/MRT) or Registered Radiological Technologist in Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology (ARRT-CV) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Work Hours:
This role requires four ten-hour shifts between 0700 and 1730 on varying days. The position also involves being on-call for 10-12 days within a five-week period, with a 30-minute response time for 24/7 department coverage.
