Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a facility that deals with corrugated containers.
- The candidate must have at least 5-7 years of supervisory experience in the manufacturing industry, with a strong preference for experience in corrugated containers.
Responsibilities:
The Facilities Manager is responsible for providing expertise and hands-on leadership to the maintenance staff in order to ensure the care, repair, and/or replacement of company assets. This role also involves driving continuous improvement projects, supporting operations, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve efficient and high-quality production in line with customer needs.
Day-to-day tasks:
- Lead by example, overseeing department KPIs and operational improvements.
- Manage the complete safety program, including implementing company initiatives and adhering to industry best practices to ensure employee safety.
- Develop and lead a comprehensive maintenance program, including short and long-term strategies to create an efficient and proactive environment.
- Provide leadership and oversight for accountability performance measures, including team management, attendance management, output measurement, and scheduling supervision.
- Take the lead in managing machinery needs such as scheduled shutdowns, project launches, and major equipment repairs.
- Build a positive working culture by being a natural team leader with a can-do attitude.
