Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Maintenance Mechanics & Electricians in conducting predictive and preventative maintenance and performing machine repairs.
  • Develop, implement, and supervise maintenance systems, processes, and documentation associated with efficient and high-performing manufacturing organizations (e.g., preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, SOPs, safety).
  • Ensure timely scheduling of maintenance tasks and work closely with Production to coordinate equipment and facility repairs.
  • Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators for tracking and reporting maintenance function performance (supplier and 3rd party contractor performance, equipment reliability, overall equipment effectiveness, etc.).
  • Provide long-term solutions and day-to-day support to operating teams facing troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, etc.
  • Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and inventory.
  • Regularly report status to the maintenance management team.


Requirements

  • A BS/BA degree is required; an Associates degree or related maintenance certifications are preferred.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance supervision experience is required, preferably in the food, consumer products, beverage, or related manufacturing industry.
  • Technical skills in mechanical and electrical repair are required; knowledge in areas such as PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and support equipment (e.g., ammonia refrigeration, high-pressure boiler, compressed air) is a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and inventory and scheduling software is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, including conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision making, empowerment, and delegation, are preferred.
  • Ability to lead problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts related to high-level process issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong planning and priority-setting skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
