Exciting Opportunity: Manufacturing Manager Position in East Killingly, CT

Our Client is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations in the production area, managing staff schedules, and optimizing productivity. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring our company's cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, compliance with safety regulations, waste reduction, volume control, and adherence to quality standards.

Key Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy and quality.
  • Proficiency in English; including reading, writing, and interpreting various documents such as safety rules, operational instructions, procedure manuals, engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and conversions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Prior experience in Assembly, Extrusion, Polymer, or Tooling.
  • Training in Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, GLP, cGMP, FDA, and other applicable standards.

Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be able to comfortably perform the following tasks, with or without reasonable accommodations:

  • Regular standing, sitting, walking, and use of hands and arms.
  • Ability to hear, talk, and adjust focus.
  • Capable of frequently lifting/moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable with data entry and regular use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.

This role encompasses both a manufacturing and office environment, with potential overtime and travel to other owned properties.
