Electrical Engineer - Electronic Engineer

Research and Development Hands-on Full Lifecycle Product Development

This position involves providing leadership in the development and implementation of electrical systems and components. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience and technical expertise in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems.

Salary: based on experience and education ($100k - $180k)

Location: East Central, IL - Champaign area – Relocation Assistance Available

Electronics Engineer / Electrical Engineer

You will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage switching and DC subsystems, including component selection, circuit layout, assembly, testing, debugging, and validation. This role involves working with various technologies and materials, such as SiC Mosfets, GaN power electronics, and high-current IGBTs or GaN High-Electron Mobility Transistors.

Working with:

· Switched-Mode DC-DC Converters

· High-voltage (kV) SiC Mosfets & GaN power electronics

· High Current IGBTs or GaN High-Electron Mobility Transistors

· HV circuit design & layout

· Hardware fabrication

· Electronics test & measurement

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or higher with 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering

OR

Microelectronics experience with prototyping and production facility work backgrounds, plus experience with LDMOS or high-voltage GaN RF electronics, and/or high-voltage SiC or GaN power electronics, LCR design, and/or noise immunity and simulations through LT SPICE.

· Basic circuit design, layout/BOM tools, such as Altium/KiCAD

· High voltage test equipment, diagnostic tools, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings

· Mechanical design, such as SolidWorks

· Passionate about technology and looking to apply that passion to your career
